This website is operated by Service Shield LLC, doing business as Service Shield Air Conditioning ("Service Shield", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you request service, ask for a replacement estimate, ask about the Protection Plan, send a commercial inquiry or contact us, the form asks for details such as:

• your name and the best way to reach you (phone and, optionally, email);
• your ZIP code, so we know whether the address is in our service area;
• a description of the problem or request, and optional details such as the age of your system;
• if you use one of the estimators, your answers and the estimate shown to you.

Each request also records the page and form it was sent from, so we know where it came from. Requests are delivered by email to our business inbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail).

We use this information to respond to your request, schedule and perform service, and keep a record of the work. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers that help us run the website and handle requests (for example, website hosting and email delivery), who may use it only for that purpose.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site records basic technical information when pages load, to keep the site running and secure. That includes the page requested, the referring page, the browser type and an approximate location derived from the network.

This site doesn't use analytics, advertising cookies or call tracking at this time. If that changes, we'll update this policy.

Calls and text messages

If you call or text us, including through Text a Tech, we receive your phone number and what you send, and we use them to respond to you and arrange service.

Videos and links to other sites

Videos on this site are hosted on YouTube. On most pages a video loads only when you press play. On the homepage, short field clips start playing, muted, when you scroll to them, unless your device asks for reduced motion or data saving. On a video's own page the YouTube player loads with the page. YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player. Links to Google, Facebook, Instagram and other sites take you to services with their own policies.

How long we keep information

We keep service requests and job records for as long as needed to provide service, keep business records, and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Use the contact page to make a request.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging service for a home or business. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
